High temperature of hydraulic oil and water temperature of excavator is a common fault phenomenon in maintenance. Because it has a great impact on the performance and service life of excavators, it is often difficult to eliminate it. Therefore, the high temperature problem has brought great trouble and confusion to excavator users. The high temperature of excavator is generally divided into too high temperature of gearbox, too high temperature of hydraulic oil and too high temperature of engine coolant. The main reasons for the high temperature of the gearbox are that the size and shape of the bearing or gear and the shell are not standard, the lubricating oil is unqualified or the oil level is inappropriate, etc. This article focuses on the causes of high hydraulic oil temperature and high engine coolant temperature. 1. The hydraulic oil temperature is too high
The main reasons for the high temperature of hydraulic oil are too fast heat generation and too slow heat dissipation. The oil inlet pipeline of the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic oil tank are not sealed tightly, and the oil inlet filter element is blocked. The hydraulic system pipeline is not unblocked, and the internal leakage of the hydraulic pump will generate a lot of heat in the hydraulic oil. Thus, the hydraulic oil temperature rises rapidly due to excessive heat generation. The internal channel of the hydraulic oil radiator is blocked, the external dust of the radiator is too large, the wind force is not enough, and the hydraulic oil does not pass through the hydraulic oil radiator, which can cause the hydraulic oil to heat up too slowly.
2. The engine coolant temperature is too high
Incorrect ignition timing, insufficient engine power, and heat dissipation system failure will cause the engine coolant temperature to be too high. On excavators before the common rail EFI diesel engine, because the hydraulic oil radiator is installed upstream of the cooling air of the water tank, overheating of the hydraulic oil will also cause excessive water temperature.
