Excavators may encounter oil leakage from boom cylinders during use. If the hydraulic cylinder leaks oil, the lifting will be slow and the digging force will be insufficient. Generally, the leakage of hydraulic cylinder is divided into internal leakage and external leakage. The cause of external leakage can be determined by careful observation. It is difficult to determine the cause of internal leakage of hydraulic cylinder. Because the position of internal leakage cannot be directly observed. The following are the causes of internal leakage of hydraulic cylinder.
1. The wear ring on the piston is severely worn. This causes friction between the piston and the cylinder liner. Finally, the cylinder liner, piston and seal are damaged.
2. The seal fails in long-term use. The piston seal is aging.
3. The hydraulic oil is dirty. A large number of impurities enter the cylinder and wear the piston seal. Generally, it is iron filings or other foreign matters.
