When the oil enters the water, if it is not treated in time, it will cause serious consequences. For example, the engine crankshaft, connecting rod and other important components are deformed, resulting in engine jitter and more serious engine damage. This article will explain how to check the cause of oil water inflow for reference only.
1. Water blocking and leakage of engine
Due to the corrosion of scale, the water is blocked and rusted, and the cooling water will enter the oil passage from the water channel to the oil pan. This reason is very common, so the excavator should always check the water blockage during normal use.
2. Damaged oil radiator
The radiator pipeline is damaged, and the water outside the radiator penetrates into the oil radiator, resulting in water inflow of oil.
3. Cracks in cylinder liner
When the cooling water is in contact with the working cylinder liner, it is easy to produce cracks. Once cracks occur, the cooling water will directly enter the cylinder and enter the oil pan through the cylinder wall, which will make the oil white. The white oil will lead to poor engine combustion, white smoke and other problems. Generally, the cylinder liner is not easy to crack. However, in some cases, for example, the cooling water is not filled with antifreeze in winter, resulting in icing, which may cause cracks in the cylinder liner.
4. The sealing ring of cylinder liner is damaged
The damage of cylinder liner sealing ring is a common cause of oil water ingress. Therefore, when troubleshooting, be sure to check whether the cylinder liner sealing ring is intact.
5. Damaged cylinder gasket
If the cylinder gasket is damaged and the water circulation speed is fast, the water in the water channel will flow into the engine oil passage, causing the engine oil to enter the water. The damage of cylinder gasket is also one of the common causes of oil water inflow. After each disassembly of the machine, try to use a new cylinder gasket. In order to avoid engine damage caused by oil leakage caused by water leakage of cylinder gasket.
