Lubricating grease is used for the friction part of machinery to lubricate and seal. It is also used on metal surfaces to fill gaps and prevent rust. It is mainly made of mineral oil or synthetic lubricating oil and thickener. When selecting lubricating grease, the working conditions, working conditions and working environment of friction pairs should be mainly considered. 1. The selected grease should be compatible with the grease supply mode of the friction pair
In case of centralized grease supply, grease No. 00~1 should be selected. For regularly greased parts such as grease gun and grease cup, No. 1-3 grease should be selected. For parts that are used for a long time without changing grease, No. 2 or no. 3 grease should be selected.
2. The selected lubricating grease should adapt to the working state of the friction pair
For example, when the vibration is large, apply lubricating grease with high viscosity, good adhesion and vibration damping, such as composite soap base lubricating grease thickened by high viscosity naphthenic base or mixed base lubricating oil.
3. The selected grease should be suitable for its purpose
The lubricating grease for lubrication must be selected according to the type, working condition, working condition, environmental condition and grease supply mode of the friction pair. For the lubricating grease used for protection, it should be able to effectively protect the metal from corrosion. For example, to protect the parts in contact with seawater and water, aluminum based lubricating grease with strong adhesion and water resistance should be selected. General protective grease can be made of solid hydrocarbon thickened high viscosity base oil. For sealing grease, attention should be paid to its resistance to the solvent of the sealed medium.
4. The selected grease should try to reduce the variety of grease and improve economic benefits.
If the requirements are met, try to choose lithium grease, composite soap grease, polyurea grease and other multi-purpose general greases. In this way, the variety of grease is reduced, the management of grease is simplified, and the grease cost and maintenance cost can be reduced due to the long service life of multi effect grease.
