Hydraulic oil, engine oil, gear oil and other oil products shall be replaced during maintenance of excavator. In daily maintenance, many people pay more attention to replacing hydraulic oil and lubricating oil. Every maintenance will also pay special attention, so more people will ignore the replacement of gear oil. During daily use, the gear oil may leak light unnoticed, and it is easy to damage the bearings and gears after lack of gear oil. Serious will cause damage to the transmission. Therefore, it is very important to change the gear oil regularly. This article will summarize how to change gear oil. Since different brands of excavators have different requirements, the methods mentioned in this article are only for reference.
1. After running for about 5 minutes, stop the running and turn off the engine after stopping the oil outlet of the reducer below.
2. Place the oil receiving container at the oil outlet, and be careful not to cause pollution. Use an Allen wrench to remove the oil drain port, oil filler port and observe all the oil ports.
3. After draining the old gear oil, tighten the oil drain.
4. Add new gear oil from the oil filler. After the gear oil flows out of the observation port, tighten the observation port and the oil filler tightly.
The replacement time of gear oil is generally about 1000 hours. There will be slight differences between brands or models. Replace according to the time required by the excavator brand.
