Excavator battery is a device for storing electric energy. Once the external load is connected or the charging circuit is connected, it starts the energy conversion process. During the discharge process, the chemical energy in the battery is converted into electrical energy. During charging, electrical energy is converted into chemical energy. According to the function of the diesel engine starting control system and the basic working principle of the circuit, the reason why the starter cannot start may be caused by battery failure, starter failure and diesel engine electronic control system failure. The power supply system of the excavator uses the battery as the power supply and has a charging system. The alternator is driven by the engine to generate power. The charging system supplies power to all electrical equipment and charges the battery. Therefore, the maintenance of the battery is very important to extend the service life of the battery. This article will introduce how to charge the battery correctly in daily life. As different brands of excavators have different requirements, this article is only for reference.
1) First, connect the positive electrode of the battery to the positive electrode of the power supply, and connect the negative electrode of the battery to the negative electrode of the power supply. Be sure to pay attention to the polarity when charging, and do not reverse the polarity.
2) The initial charging is carried out in two stages. First, charge the electrolyte with the initial charging current until bubbles are released, and the single cell voltage rises to 2.3 ~ 2.4V. Then, reduce the current to 1 / 2 of the initial charging current, and continue to charge until the electrolyte releases violent bubbles, and the specific voltage and voltage are stable for 3h. The total charging time is about 45 ~ 65h.
3) During the charging process, the electrolyte temperature shall be measured frequently, and the temperature shall be controlled at 35 ~ 40 ℃ by halving the current, stopping charging or cooling. After the initial charging, if the specific gravity of the electrolyte is not specified, it shall be adjusted with distilled water or electrolyte with specific gravity of 1.4. Charge for 2h after adjustment until the specific gravity meets the requirements.
