Changing the transmission oil is different from changing the engine oil. To change the engine oil, first drain the old oil, and then add the new engine oil. However, this oil change method has no effect on the transmission. Due to the structure of the gearbox, such replacement will not be complete. The old oil in the gearbox will pollute the new oil, and the impurities will not be discharged.
First, find a large plate and put it under the gearbox. Select any drain plug. Remove the plug to drain the liquid inside, and then reinstall the plug.
Then remove the transmission filter. Because there are too many impurities accumulated on the filter, it is very troublesome to clean it only. Replace the filter with a new one. There is a magnet in the gearbox, which is used to absorb metal debris. Clean the magnet.
Finally, remove the transmission oil pan and check the previous transmission fluid. If sediment or metal debris is found, clean it up before adding new transmission fluid and transmission oil. After the above steps are completed, the gearbox of the excavator will be cleaned.
