When the engine emits blue smoke, some operators do not know how to judge which parts have faults. This page will introduce the causes of blue smoke, fault causes and troubleshooting.
1. Causes of blue smoke
As a large amount of oil enters the combustion chamber and evaporates into oil and gas, the final combustion is discharged from the exhaust pipe.
2. Fault cause
(1) There is too much oil in the oil pan.
(2) The oil seal of supercharger is damaged, resulting in oil channeling into the combustion chamber.
(3) The oil in the cylinder is badly blown up.
(4) The valve stem and guide are worn, the clearance is too large, and the valve guide sealing ring is invalid.
3. Diagnosis and troubleshooting of blue smoke
(1) Check the oil level of the oil pan. If the oil level is higher than the specified level, drain excess oil
(2) If the oil level is normal, remove the fuel injector and check the oil stain and carbon deposit of the fuel injector. If the oil stain and carbon deposit are serious, it indicates that the oil on the cylinder is serious, or the clearance between the valve stem and the guide pipe is too large. Remove the cylinder head, find out the cause and eliminate the fault.
(3) Check the operation of the sealing ring of the inlet and exhaust valve guide
(4) Check the sealing condition of supercharger.
