The common seal of construction machinery is the seal ring, also known as oil seal. It can isolate the oil and prevent the oil from overflowing or passing through. Because the service life of the seal is relatively short, the oil seal replacement frequency is high. The structural forms of oil seal include single lip type, double lip type, pressure resistant type, anti deflection center type, one-way return type, two-way return type, etc.
In the selection of oil seal, it is recommended to use the original parts with guaranteed process and quality. The oil seal corresponding to the part shall be selected during use. If the oil seal is used under dusty conditions, the oil seal with dustproof structure design shall be selected.
The oil seal shall be stored in a dry and clean environment. It is recommended to store it in a packing box to avoid heavy pressure. In addition, do not thread or rope together to avoid damaging the lip of the oil seal and affecting its service life.
If the oil seal is not installed in place or the method is improper, it is easy to damage the oil seal lip and affect the sealing effect, or the burr at the chamfer of the oil seal joint surface is not cleaned, which will lead to the damage of the oil seal.
