The ultra-low temperature in winter greatly affects the performance of the machine, and the maintenance and use in winter are the most important issues. The daily maintenance and repair of the battery is extremely important. Generally, corrosion and liquid leakage are easy to occur, and attention shall be paid to keep it clean. This article will explain the electrolyte height of battery inspection in winter, for reference only.
The general electrolyte is dilute sulfuric acid with a certain proportion, which plays the role of ionic conductivity and the chemical reaction of the battery. In the state of charge, the water in the electrolyte will volatilize, resulting in the reduction of the electrolyte. The plate may be vulcanized. Moreover, the concentration of the electrolyte will also increase, and the degradation of the electrode plate is easy to occur. If the liquid volume is too large or the concentration is too low, the electrolyte will overflow. It corrodes the electrode tip and increases the resistance of the wiring, which seriously affects the charging and discharging performance of the battery. Therefore, it is necessary to check the height of battery electrolyte for daily maintenance. Generally, the liquid level is required to be within the reference line, and the inspection can be simply completed by using thin iron wire. Insert the iron wire vertically into the liquid port until it touches the electrode plate. After pulling out, you can see whether the liquid level of the electrolyte meets the requirements. When the liquid volume is insufficient, it shall be supplemented with distilled water when the battery is in charge state. In this way, the solution is uniform as a whole, and other impurities will not be introduced, thus ensuring the performance and life of the battery.
It should be noted that the general battery voltage is 12V, which is composed of 6 batteries connected in series. The liquid level of each sub battery shall be ensured so as not to cause insufficient voltage of one sub battery and affect the whole battery.
