Meshing noise of excavator

According to the different causes of the abnormal noise of the rotary mechanism caused by the mechanical fault, the abnormal noise of the rotary mechanism of the hydraulic excavator can be further divided into the abnormal noise of the rotary support, the abnormal noise of the rotary motor and the meshing noise of the inner teeth of the rotary support and the pinion of the rotary motor.

Meshing noise

When the inner teeth of the slewing support are engaged with the pinion of the rotary motor, the meshing clearance is too large or too small, which will cause poor meshing and abnormal noise.

1.Inner teeth lubrication

When the inner teeth of the slewing support and the rotary motor are not maintained for a long time, the meshing noise may be caused by the lubrication reasons. At this time, the meshing area can be observed through the reserved observation hole to see if the meshing area is lack of lubrication.

2.Inner teeth installation

The installation center distance of the two gears directly determines the size of the meshing clearance of the two gears, and the incorrect installation center distance can cause the meshing noise. The installation center distance is too small, which will cause the pinion of the rotary motor to mesh with the inner teeth of the slewing support during operation, produce abnormal noise, and cause tooth breakage when serious. Installation center distance is too large, will lead to meshing impact, so that meshing is not stable, resulting in abnormal noise. Meshing surface is not vertical will also cause meshing instability to produce abnormal noise. If it is judged that the meshing noise is caused by the installation, the parts should be repaired or replaced according to the specific reasons.

The further development of the lubrication and installation of the inner teeth of the slewing support will cause gear damage and lead to meshing noise. If the meshing noise caused by tooth breakage is judged, the abnormal noise should be eliminated by replacing the gear. If the abnormal noise of rotary mechanism caused by tooth surface wear is judged, the abnormal noise of rotary mechanism can be eliminated by repairing and replacing gears.
