Misunderstanding of bolt and tire pressure during the use of excavator

Because each operator has different understanding of the excavator, there are some misunderstandings in the use process. This article will explain the misunderstanding of bolts and tire pressure in the process of use for reference only.

1. The bolts are tightened too tightly

In the process of disassembly and assembly of construction machinery, bolts in many parts have specified torque requirements, such as transmission box, cylinder head, wheel hub, connecting rod, front axle and so on. The tightening torque is specially specified in the manual and must not be changed at will. Many operators mistakenly believe that tighter will be safer. However, tightening too tightly will cause the screw or bolt to break, and may also cause failure due to thread sliding buckle.

2. The tire pressure is too high

Tire inflation pressure of Wheeled Construction machinery is an important factor to determine its service life and work efficiency. Too high or too low tire pressure will affect its service life and is not conducive to safe driving, especially in hot summer.

The scientific inflation standard should be based on the standard pressure of the tire, and the tire pressure should be slightly adjusted with the change of temperature. For example, summer should be 5% – 7% lower than winter. Considering the high temperature in summer, the gas is heated and the pressure increases. On the contrary, the standard air pressure must be reached or slightly lower in winter.
