Operation skills of excavator trenching

Sometimes, when operating the excavator to dig ditches, failure to pay attention to some details will easily lead to low work efficiency and non-compliance with the requirements. Therefore, it is very important to master some trenching operation skills for excavator operation. This article will summarize the operation skills of some excavators when digging ditches for reference only.

1. trench excavation shall be straight

The most basic requirement of trenching is to dig straight. When digging ditches on the construction site, the route of the ditch is usually drawn with lime. The center line of the excavator's chassis is aligned with the lime line, and the bucket teeth in the middle of the bucket are aligned with the lime line, and then the operation can be carried out. Generally, the excavation can be straight. However, if there is no lime line, you can use the track to press out a connecting line first, and take the track trace as the corresponding standard line, which can also play the role of auxiliary straightening.

2. When trenching, first dig the surface layer and then the lower layer

When excavators formally excavate, they usually excavate the surface soil first, and then the lower soil. Do not dig to the depth of the ditch at once, especially when it is necessary to dig a deep ditch. When the width of the trench is greater than that of the bucket, the soil on both sides must be excavated first, and then the soil in the middle.

3. Keep the slope flat

One of the main reasons why many new operators can't complete the trenching work well is that they don't follow the principle of tidiness and don't do a lot of details in place. From the beginning of excavation of V-shaped ditch to the end, the slope shall maintain the same slope. However, the slope shall be adjusted appropriately according to the soil quality and ditch depth. When digging the ditch, the operator shall pay attention to the loose soil at the side of the ditch to prevent the soil from falling. In case of scattering, it shall be cleaned in time.

4. Bottom control of trench

The bottom of the control ditch is an operation that can not be ignored. If it is necessary to install water pipes for drainage when trenching, there should be a certain slope at the bottom. If it is a house foundation pit, the bottom needs to be kept horizontal. If the new operator cannot determine the height of the ditch bottom, he can ask the constructor to measure by instrument while digging. If there are no constructors, you can find some references by yourself, or go down to the excavator for many times to observe the height of the bottom of the ditch.
