We talked about the link derailment in track excavators. It happenes from time to time when we don't expect at all. Of course, we intorduce several causes that makes derailment happens.
The crawler chain shoes often fall off from excavators when working, especially when driving machines that have been used for a long time, and the manipulator with insufficient operation experience often has no countermeasures. So how to assemble the chain after the chain falls off? How to reduce or avoid this accident to some extent?

Once the link drops of the excavator, inform the construction party that there is a problem in walking and it needs to stop working for treatment.

Judge the surrounding environment of the machine. After the crawler falls off, user are expected to try to select a spacious, flat and hard site. If there are mounds, stones, branches and other obstacles around the crawler, which can be leveled with the excavator bucket to maintain a certain rotation and walking range.

Estimate the falling off degree of the excavator. In case of falling off or other faults caused by object fracture, the repairman shall be notified in time for repairement. What's more, remember to check whether the crawler of the excavator is mixed with soil, sand and stone. If there are a large number of objects, it shall be cleaned in time. It is understood that most of the reasons for track falling off are that there are too many sundries in the track device, which fall off during steering operation, especially for machines with poor machine conditions. The gap at the track link is large after wear, which is easier to fall off.

Use a wrench or socket to remove the track oil filling grease fitting. The excavator bucket can be used to support the track and rotate the track on the falling side. The grease will be squeezed out and the drive wheel will retract.
Maintainence
We will intorduce the methods of maintaining the link and link shoes next time. Only combining the right ways to aviod chains' falling off and proper maintainence, the excavator can have better service and for longer time.
