Excavator, a fast and high efficient constructional and operational machine, is one of the main construction machineries. It is counted that there is more than 60% of the earthwork is finished by excavators.
All kinds of wheel excavator purpose is widely used in most industries such as civil building, transportstion, water conservancy and power engine, farmland transformation, mine excavation and modern military engineering and so on. In recent years, excavator industry is in the fastest growth within the whole constraction machinery industry.
Excavator History
It has been 179 years since excavator was invented. During these years, the operaional system was from manpower to steam, and then it is by hydraulic system. Excavator is also called "Pearl" in constructional machinery industry because it plays a great part in saving manpower and improving working efficiency.
The very begining of excavator is used by manpower or animal power to dig in deep river. The volum of the bucket is between 0.2-0.3 m3.
Between 1833-1836, Otis designed and invented the first excavator which was driven by steam. The machine was made in iron and wood structure. This half-rotatiomal single bucket excavator worked in a speed of 35m3 per hour. On account of its high cost performance, it was not be applied widely.
In 1870s, a new steamed bucket has been invented and been used in surface mines.
In 1880, there showed first group of half-rotated bucket based on tractor.
