The oil seal of excavator needs to be replaced frequently. If the replacement is carried out according to the conventional method, it will be affected by different environment and site. This article will summarize the shortcut to change the oil seal in the center swivel. For reference only.
1) First, unscrew the relevant fixing screws, and then drag the lower transmission box with a small lifting hydraulic trolley and rotate it at a certain angle. Then lower the trolley and pull the lower transmission case aside.
2) Shut off the oil return pipe with an oil cut-off. So as to prevent a large amount of hydraulic oil from flowing out along the core when the core of the central rotary joint is pulled out. Unscrew 4 fixing screws on the oil distribution plate.
3) Hang the iron hooks on both sides of the puller on the two relatively symmetrical oil pipe joints on both sides of the core. Then the jack is used to hold the vertical transmission shaft. When the jack is raised, the core can be pulled out and the oil seal can be replaced.
4) Drag the core of the central rotary joint with the top sleeve, and then push the core back to the original position with a 1.5T Jack. Other parts can be installed and restored in the reverse order of disassembly.
The whole process can be operated by one person or in cooperation without disassembling any oil pipe. The lifting hydraulic trolley can be refitted with a horizontal jack or an existing trolley. The oil cut-off can be replaced by fire rubber clips, and the puller can be self-made. It is mainly composed of a base plate and an adjustable iron chain, which can be completed with a jack. The whole operation does not require other auxiliary equipment, and the tools used are very simple, which is especially suitable for quick repair in the field.
