Stage division of excavator operation cycle

The main actuator actions of hydraulic excavator include: whole machine walking, turntable turning, boom lifting, stick retracting, bucket loading and unloading. These actions are combined to complete the five stages of the operation cycle

Digging: the process from the bucket tooth tip contacting the soil to the bucket cutting the soil is the process of the bucket cutting the soil. The main actions include bucket digging, stick digging or both, supplemented by boom lowering.

Lifting and slewing: after the excavation is completed, the bucket is moved from the excavation position to the unloading position through the boom lifting, turntable slewing or a combination of both.

Unloading: after turning to the unloading point, the stick moves to adjust the unloading radius, and then the bucket unloads to empty the materials in the bucket, mainly the composite action of the stick and bucket.

Empty bucket return: the rotary table rotates to make the upper excavator rotate from the unloading position to the next excavation position. The main reason is that the rotary table starts and accelerates. When the rotation angle is large, there will be uniform rotation.

Digging preparation: the turntable brake, at the same time through the boom, stick, bucket action will move the bucket tooth tip to the next digging point, waiting for the next digging stage to start.
