We often use excavators in daily engineering construction, and some faults are inevitable or local. Failure is an unpleasant and headache, delaying working hours and consuming energy. Faults are generally caused by potential or improper use in the later stage, so it is necessary for us to carry out preventive maintenance and planned maintenance in the early stage. The state that the machine cannot perform the specified functions and the work interruption planned in advance are regarded as faults.
To deal with the fault, we must first find the cause and root cause. Only by finding the source of the fault can we find a more reasonable way to deal with it. On the contrary, before failure, you must be diligent, observe and understand more. Let's briefly introduce the causes of electrical system and engine oil circuit failures.
1. Excavator electrical system fault
If the battery power is insufficient, charge the battery in time, check the liquid level of the battery, and supplement the electrolyte to the specified height in time. If it is found that the battery is aging and poorly charged, it should be replaced. At the same time, pay attention to the daily maintenance of the battery and do not keep the battery in a power loss state.
2. Excavator engine oil circuit fault
1) Low pressure oil circuit gas resistance
Under the suction action of the fuel transfer pump or fuel injection pump, the fuel is sent from the fuel tank to the high-pressure pump through the low-pressure oil circuit. If the low-pressure oil circuit is not tightly closed, or the oil level in the oil tank is too low, and the vehicle is parked and driven obliquely, the air will take the opportunity to enter the oil circuit; If the temperature is high and the fuel evaporates, air resistance will also be formed in the low-pressure oil circuit, resulting in unstable operation of the engine, automatic flameout or failure to start the engine
2) Blocked oil circuit
The common parts of oil circuit blockage mainly include oil suction pipe, filter screen, diesel filter, oil tank cover vent, etc. The main problem of oil circuit blockage is the injection of substandard diesel oil or the mixing of impurities in the refueling process. The key to prevention is to ensure that the diesel is clean and the oil circuit is sealed, maintain the oil circuit regularly, strengthen the cleaning and maintenance of the diesel filter, clean or replace the filter element in time, clean the oil tank in time according to the operating environmental conditions, and completely remove the oil sludge and moisture at the bottom of the oil tank.
3) Fuel injection pump failure
The plunger and outlet valve of fuel injection pump are seriously worn, which makes it difficult to start the engine. At this time, the plunger and oil outlet valve accessories shall be replaced in time.
