The use of breaking hammer can be seen everywhere in quarries and construction sites. With the advantages of strong penetration, fast, accurate and high efficiency, it is widely used in crushing operation. But why do many operators think that the service life of the breaking hammer is very short? In fact, as long as every detail and maintenance work are done in place, the service life of the crushing hammer will be greatly extended. This article will describe several matters needing attention in the use of breaking hammer for reference only.
1. Precautions for using breaker
1) Check the tightness of the side plate bolts, connecting bolts and nuts of the breaker every day, because the breaker will produce great vibration during operation, and the bolts and nuts are easy to loosen. If they are not tightened in time, the breaker will be damaged.
2) Each time the breaker works for 2-3 hours, the grease lubrication shall be supplemented in time. The grease filling must be carried out when the drill rod is compacted. If the grease is not supplemented in this way, too much grease will damage the dust ring and enter the cylinder body, resulting in strain.
3) Check the nitrogen chamber pressure of the breaker before the breaker works. Whether the pressure is too low or too high, it will lead to poor operation of the breaker.
2. Storage method of breaking hammer
1) If the breaker needs to be stored in a short time, it should be placed in a ventilated and non humid indoor environment. If it is stored outdoors, it should be packed with plastic or treated with rust prevention in advance.
2) When the breaker needs to be stored for a long time, remove the drill rod, release nitrogen, push the piston to the innermost end of the cylinder block, and do anti rust and moisture-proof treatment indoors. Grease can be applied to the surface. If it is not removed for long-term storage, the seal of the crusher will cause oil leakage due to extrusion deformation.
3) The hydraulic oil of the breaker must be replaced once every 1000 hours. At the same time, all hydraulic oil filter elements and seals of the breaker must be replaced. If it is not replaced in time beyond the maintenance time and continues to be used, the deteriorated hydraulic oil will cause wear and internal leakage of hydraulic system components, and finally lead to failure of excavator, slow speed, and even damage to hydraulic components.
