Working principle of double circuit full hydraulic braking system in wheel excavator

Taking the split brake valve as an example, the brake system is mainly composed of hydraulic pump, filter, charging valve, accumulator, brake valve, brake, hydraulic pipeline and pressure switch.

When the oil enters the charging valve through the filter, if the accumulator pressure does not reach the set value, the directional valve in the charging valve will keep the charging oil circuit connected according to the oil pressure, so that the oil will fill the accumulator through the charging valve. When the accumulator charging pressure reaches the set value, the reversing valve in the charging valve switches to the oil return circuit according to the oil pressure, and the oil flows back to the oil tank through the oil return circuit in the charging valve, that is, the charging valve stops filling the accumulator.

The brake valve and the brake pedal are connected and installed together. When the machine needs to brake, that is, when the operator presses the brake pedal, the brake valve core will move downward to connect the brake oil circuit. The high-pressure oil in the accumulator will go to the brakes of the front and rear axles through the two oil circuits of the brake valve to brake. When the brake valve is released, the brake oil circuit is connected with the oil tank, and the brake is released.

In this braking system, there is a set of independent brake oil circuit for the wheel side brake of front axle or rear axle, and each oil circuit has an independent accumulator to provide brake oil. When one of the oil lines is damaged, the other oil line will also play a braking role.
