1. Fault phenomenon
A truck crane equipped with WD615.92E diesel engine often has automatic flameout fault. The main performance is that the diesel engine can not run continuously for a long time under the specified idle state. After the diesel engine is started, the driver's foot leaves the accelerator pedal and stalls. When the driver raises his foot to step on the brake pedal during driving, the diesel engine will automatically shut down.
2. Cause analysis
The reasons for the automatic flameout of this type of diesel engine are generally as follows: first, the idle spring of the governor, the stabilizer spring and the idle limit screw of the load control rod are improperly adjusted. Second, the accelerator pedal and its pull rod are not adjusted properly. Third, there is water in diesel oil, impurities or air in oil circuit. Fourth, the oil transfer pump failed. Fifth, the running resistance of the diesel engine is too large.
3. Troubleshooting
First, check the idle spring, stabilizer spring and idle limit screw of the fuel injection pump governor, and no improper adjustment is found. Secondly, after loosening the accelerator pedal, check that the load control lever on the governor can lean against the idle limit screw, which indicates that the accelerator pedal and pull rod system are normal. Again, check that the diesel is of good quality, there is no air in the oil circuit, the oil supply capacity of the oil transfer pump is normal, and the diesel engine filter is not blocked. Finally, open the cylinder head and find that cylinder IV is pulled. Cylinder pulling is not only easy to reduce the air tightness of the cylinder, cause oil leakage and engine power decline, but also cause automatic flameout and difficult start of the diesel engine. In serious cases, it will also cause the fracture of the piston or connecting rod.
Disassemble and clean the diesel engine, replace the strained parts, reinstall and test the engine, and the fault disappears.
