Excavators often make some noise during use. For excavators, the noise of hydraulic components of excavators is a very common typical problem. But also because the noise category is not easy to distinguish, it has caused some obstacles for everyone to find the root cause of the fault. This article will explain the causes of oil pipe noise and piston pump noise for reference only.
1. Oil pipe noise
The noise emitted by the oil pipe is a regular vibration sound. The sound is small and low, which is easy to be ignored.
Such noise usually occurs because the hydraulic oil pipe is bent too much and too long, and the pipe joint is loose, causing vibration. Therefore, we should avoid bending the oil pipe when disassembling the oil pipe, and the pipe joint should be fastened.
2. Piston pump noise
The noise generated by the plunger pump is very sharp and harsh, and the sound continues to be emitted. It will become lower unless the engine speed is reduced. The reason for the noise is also complex. We must carefully compare it!
1) The filter and oil pipeline of the hydraulic system are blocked or the viscosity of the hydraulic oil is too high, which will make the hydraulic pump form a vacuum at the oil suction port, inhale air, the air enters the pump and is squeezed again, and the discharge will make noise.
2) If the seal ring at the shaft end of the hydraulic pump and pilot pump is damaged, or the seal at the pump suction port is damaged, air will enter when the pump is working. For example, the liquid level in the hydraulic oil tank is too low. When the excavator climbs the slope, the air in the oil tank is sucked into the pump, which will also produce noise.
3) The parts in the hydraulic pump are worn and the surface falls off, resulting in serious leakage in the hydraulic pump. When the hydraulic pump outputs high-pressure and large flow hydraulic oil, it will produce hydraulic vibration and cause noise, so the components with serious wear and strain must be replaced.
