Excavator traveling motor and pipeline sealing protection method

Some excavators undertake the in cabin transportation of ore transport ships and the stacking of materials in the freight yard. Due to the high water content of the ore, when the excavator operates in the cabin of the ore transport ship, the ore slurry is often squeezed from the edge gap of the guard plate of the traveling motor protection box and the installation through hole of the traveling motor rubber hose. After the squeezed ore slurry is dried, it will solidify with the traveling motor and its rubber hose, which will cause corrosion to the traveling motor and its rubber hose. The corroded hose is prone to rupture and hydraulic oil leakage under the pressure impact of the hydraulic system. At the same time, a large amount of ore slurry solidifies and agglomerates here, which makes it very difficult to disassemble and replace the rubber hose.

In order to prevent the corrosion of the traveling motor and rubber hose, reduce the damage probability of the rubber hose at the traveling motor, reduce the waste of hydraulic oil, and improve the maintenance efficiency, block the protective plate of the traveling motor and the through hole of the rubber hose, so as to prevent the ore slurry from entering the traveling motor protection box, so as to protect the traveling motor and rubber hose. For reference only. The specific scheme is as follows:

First, remove the guard plate on the traveling motor protection box, take the guard plate shape as the template, and cut the guard plate retaining ring with 8mm thick steel plate.

Secondly, weld the retaining ring on the edge of the outer frame of the traveling motor protection box. After cleaning the welding slag, polish the weld with a grinder to make the weld smooth and smooth.

Thirdly, the inner tube of waste automobile tire is used to make two layers of gasket according to the contour of the retaining ring, and the gasket is adhered to the retaining ring.

Then, apply foaming sealant at the through hole of the rubber hose of the traveling motor to seal all the gaps between the rubber hose at the through hole and around the through hole.

Finally, clean the inside of the traveling motor protection box, paint the exposed parts of the metal, and then reinstall the baffle of the traveling motor protection box.

The retaining ring and gasket can well block the gap at the edge of the guard plate of the traveling motor protection box. Because the rubber hose will produce expansion, contraction and vibration when the pressure changes, it is not suitable to adopt rigid sealing. The styrofoam has a certain elasticity, and its sealing will not damage the rubber hose.

When the foam glue enters the gap around the rubber hose, it can play a good role in blocking, and provide convenience for maintenance. Even if the hose is aging and needs to be replaced, it is easy to remove the styrofoam.

The above methods prevent the ore slurry from entering the traveling motor protection box, prevent the ore slurry from damaging the traveling motor and oil pipe joint, and achieve obvious results.
