Hydraulic excavator is a multifunctional earth moving machinery with periodic operation. It is widely used in mechanical construction such as transportation, water conservancy, mining and power engineering. The working process of the excavator starts with cutting the soil with the bucket teeth. Then, the bucket shall be lifted after being filled and turned to the unloading position. Finally, after unloading the soil, the bucket returns to its original position to start the next operation. This cycle. Because the slewing action of the excavator is very important for the work of the excavator. However, when the hydraulic rotation of the excavator fails, it will affect the daily work of the excavator. Swing failure may lead to failure to swing in one direction and failure to swing in both directions. This article will explain the reasons for the failure of the excavator to swing unilaterally for reference only.
If the diesel engine of the excavator operates normally and the working device and the traveling can work normally. After operating the pilot operating handle that controls the swing of the platform, the swing platform cannot swing. Check, analyze and troubleshoot in the following order.
If the platform cannot rotate in one direction, it is generally caused by the pressure imbalance of the corresponding non rotating secondary relief valve. At this time, the corresponding secondary relief valve that cannot rotate can be adjusted. Install a pressure gauge in the swing oil circuit to allow the operator to operate the pilot handle that controls swing. The maintenance personnel adjusted the secondary overflow valve from left to right while observing whether the displayed value of the pressure gauge changed. If there is any change, the pressure can be adjusted to the design overflow value. If there is no change, it may be caused by the following reasons:
1. The tightening torque of the corresponding secondary relief valve that cannot rotate is not enough. Further tightening is required.
2. The secondary overflow valve fails. Replace and repair the secondary overflow valve.
3. The corresponding non rotating secondary relief valve housing has sand holes for oil spilling. Shells with sand holes should be replaced.
