Nowadays, excavators mostly use electronic injection engines. Various alarm codes may be encountered during use, and these alarms are mostly caused by sensor or solenoid valve failures. This article will introduce the functions of engine fuel temperature sensor, engine main speed sensor and timing gear sensor. When the excavator has an alarm code, after knowing the meaning of the code, it can be checked and replaced according to the position of the sensor and solenoid valve.
1. Fuel temperature sensor
Temperature sensor signal control, fuel heater and protection of diesel generator. If the sensor fails, the engine performance will be affected.
2. Engine primary speed sensor
It is used together with the engine sub speed sensor to feed back the engine speed, crankshaft angle and camshaft angle signals to the ECU, so that the ECU can correctly judge the timing information. The two sensors are mutually calibrated. If the feedback signal of a single sensor is lost, the engine can still be used when the output is reduced. If both sensors lose signals at the same time, the engine will not start.
3. Timing gear sensor
It is used together with the main engine speed sensor to feed back the engine speed, crankshaft angle and camshaft angle signals to the ECU so that the ECU can correctly judge the timing information. The two sensors check each other. If the feedback signal of a single sensor is lost, the engine can still be used when the output is reduced. If both sensors lose signals at the same time, the engine will not start.
