1. there is a rubber vacuum valve at the lower cover of the air filter element housing. First, dismantle it and clean it. During disassembly, closely observe whether the sealing edge is worn, and consider whether the valve needs to be replaced according to the degree of wear. During the disassembly process, be sure to ensure that the engine is not running. If compressed air is used to clean the filter, protective measures shall be taken.
2. check the outer air filter element. In case of damage, small holes, glue opening at the edge of the filter paper, etc., the filter element shall be replaced in time and cannot continue to be used. During cleaning, blow compressed air not exceeding 205kpa (30psi) from inside to outside. After cleaning, illuminate the inside of the external filter with light, and check whether the filter paper is intact again.
3. after the outer filter is removed and replaced, the lower inner air filter element can be removed for replacement. The inner filter element is a disposable part, so it cannot be reused after cleaning.
4. clean the dust inside the shell with a clean cloth. Pay attention to cleaning from the inside out one by one, and do not use high-pressure air for purging. Otherwise, the dust and sundries in the housing will be blown into the engine.
5. after the above four steps are completed, the inner and outer air filter elements and filter element end covers can be installed. Make sure that the arrow mark on the cover is upward during installation.
