Generally, the working environment of excavators is poor and there is much dust. The excavator filter element is mainly used to protect the corresponding parts of the excavator. Reduce the entry of impurities and dust, improve the working efficiency of the excavator and prolong the service life. There are many types of excavator filter elements, including air filter element, air conditioning filter element, hydraulic oil pipeline filter element, fuel filter element, hydraulic oil return filter element, pilot filter element, hydraulic oil suction filter element, etc. These filter elements play an important role in the maintenance of excavators. The replacement methods for filter elements of different types of excavators are also different. This article will explain the replacement of three common filter elements: hydraulic oil return filter element, pilot filter element and hydraulic oil suction filter element. As different brands of excavators have different requirements for replacement time and replacement method, this article is for reference only.
1. hydraulic oil return filter element replacement
Generally, the hydraulic oil return filter element of excavator shall be replaced every 1000 hours. Pay attention to the following items during replacement.
(1) First, release the internal pressure of the hydraulic oil tank.
(2) Unscrew the hydraulic oil return end cap.
(3) Remove the spring and bypass valve assembly in sequence, and finally remove the oil return filter element.
(4) Install the oil return filter element according to the removal steps.
2. replacement of pilot filter element
Generally, the pilot filter element of excavator shall be replaced every 1000 hours. Pay attention to the following items during replacement.
(1) Release the internal pressure of hydraulic oil tank and hydraulic system before operation.
(2) Remove the pilot filter element with a wrench and remove the filter cup and filter element.
(3) First install the pilot filter element onto the pilot filter element base.
(4) Apply a layer of lubricating oil to the new pilot filter O-ring before installation. Install the pilot filter element with the arrow pointing in the direction of the hydraulic return oil.
3. hydraulic oil suction filter element replacement
Generally, the hydraulic oil suction filter element of excavator shall be replaced every 2000 hours. Pay attention to the following items during replacement.
(1) Depress the air breather to release the internal pressure of the hydraulic tank.
(2) Remove the end cover of the oil suction filter element, and then pull out the oil suction filter element.
(3) Clean or replace the oil suction filter element according to the operating hours.
