Generally, the working environment of excavators is poor and there is much dust. The excavator filter element is mainly used to protect the corresponding parts of the excavator. Reduce the entry of impurities and dust, improve the working efficiency of the excavator and prolong the service life. There are many types of excavator filter elements, including air filter element, air conditioning filter element, hydraulic oil pipeline filter element, fuel filter element, hydraulic oil return filter element, pilot filter element, hydraulic oil suction filter element, etc. These filter elements play an important role in the maintenance of excavators. The replacement methods for filter elements of different types of excavators are also different. This article will explain the replacement of three common filter elements: air conditioning filter element, hydraulic oil pipeline filter element and fuel filter element. As different brands of excavators have different requirements for replacement time and replacement method, this article is for reference only.
1. replacement of air conditioning filter element
Generally, the air conditioner filter element of excavator shall be replaced every 1000 hours or 5 months. If the A / C filter element is blocked, the air intake will be reduced, and the cooling and heating capacity will also be reduced. Because it needs to be cleaned or replaced regularly. Some brands of air conditioning filter elements are located at the rear bottom of the cab.
2. replacement of filter element of hydraulic oil pipeline
Generally, the filter element of hydraulic oil pipeline of excavator shall be replaced every 500 hours. Pay attention to the following items during replacement.
(1) When replacing the pipeline filter element, use the filter element wrench to rotate the filter element counterclockwise to remove it.
(2) Fill the new filter element with hydraulic oil, and install the O-ring after it is coated with a layer of hydraulic oil.
3. fuel filter element replacement
Generally, the fuel filter element of excavator engine shall be replaced every 1000 hours. Pay attention to the following items during replacement.
(1) When replacing the fuel filter element, first turn off the fuel pipeline switch to prevent the fuel from flowing out all the time.
(2) Remove the filter element by turning it counterclockwise with a filter element wrench.
(3) Install the new filter element O-ring after coating it with fuel. Do not fill the fuel filter element with fuel, because unfiltered fuel will damage the fuel components.
