Direct injection engine and electronic injection engine are two types of engines commonly used in construction machinery and equipment. The direct injection engine uses mechanical linkage to control the injection time and quantity. Diesel oil is pressurized mainly by high-pressure oil pump, and then atomized by mechanical spray injector. The electronic injection engine uses sensor detection technology to detect the working state of the engine under different working conditions, such as pressure, temperature, air intake, etc. The most reasonable system working pressure and required fuel under different working conditions are preset in the computer. Due to the different physical and chemical properties of diesel and gasoline, diesel engines and gasoline engines are very different in structure. Since the engines used in construction machinery are basically diesel engines, this paper introduces the differences between direct injection diesel engines and electronic injection diesel engines, as well as their advantages and disadvantages.
1. Difference
The biggest difference between the two is that the electronic system replaces the mechanical control system of the direct injection engine in the fuel supply system, and the fuel combustion efficiency is different. The electronic injection engine can accurately control fuel injection for different working conditions through complex electronic system and high-pressure common rail technology. The fuel can provide corresponding fuel quantity according to the working conditions, so that the combustion efficiency of fuel can be greatly improved.
2. Advantages and disadvantages
After a long period of technical iteration and market test, the biggest advantage of direct injection engine is that it can operate more stably and reliably under some severe working conditions. Moreover, due to the simple working principle, the oil requirements are lower and the maintenance cost is lower. However, lower combustion efficiency, more fuel consumption and more harmful gas emissions are its disadvantages.
The most direct benefit of EFI engine is better fuel saving effect, more sensitive power performance and higher combustion efficiency, which will also reduce harmful gas emissions to some extent. It is very consistent with the current industry trend of advocating energy conservation and emission reduction. However, due to the use of a large number of electronic technology, the reliability of the EFI engine is less. And once damaged, the later maintenance cost is high. In addition, complex and precise components also require high diesel quality. However, in many cases, the quality of diesel fuel is not meet to the standard, resulting in a high failure rate of the core component fuel injector.
