Here is a general introduction to the inspection and maintenance of hydraulic excavator before and after startup and preheating in cold climate.
1. Inspection and maintenance before and after startup
In order to prolong the service life of the excavator, check the diesel engine before starting it. The main contents are as follows:
Look around and at the bottom of the machine for dirt accumulation, loose bolts, liquid leakage, and worn or damaged parts. Check whether all switches, lighting devices, fuses, etc. of the electrical system are normal. Check whether the working device and hydraulic components are normal. Check whether the oil, coolant and fuel levels are within the specified range. The above checks must be normal, otherwise it shall not be started.
Before starting up each shift, grease must be added to the lubricating points of the working device and slewing support. See the operation manual and lubrication chart for the grease filling points and quantities. The lubrication chart is generally pasted on the inside of the cab door.
Before starting the diesel engine, turn the ignition switch to "run". If the diesel engine fails to start successfully for the first time, it shall be restarted after 15s. If it fails to start successfully for three consecutive times, it shall be restarted after 2min. If this problem exists after each shutdown, the fault must be checked.
2. Preheating in cold climate
Under cold weather conditions, the fuel may freeze and the viscosity of hydraulic oil will increase. Therefore, the fuel and hydraulic oil should be selected according to the temperature. When the hydraulic oil temperature is lower than 25 ℃, the hydraulic system may have poor action, so the machine must be preheated.
The specific steps of preheating are as follows:
First, start the diesel engine, cancel the automatic idle mode, adjust the throttle knob, and let the diesel engine run at low speed and no-load for 5min.
Secondly, adjust the throttle knob to make the diesel engine run at medium speed, and slowly operate the bucket back and forth for 5min.
Thirdly, adjust the throttle knob to make the diesel engine run at high speed, and operate the boom, stick and bucket for 5 ~ 10min. Be careful not to operate the slewing and traveling devices at this time.
Finally, conduct several complete operations for each action of the excavator. At this time, the preheating of the machine is completed successfully and normal operation can be carried out.
