During the use of the excavator, the failure of no action may occur. Some operators do not know the cause of the failure. This article will explain how to analyze and check the faults when the excavator has no movement, which is for reference only.
1. Fault phenomenon
The crawler excavator has been engaged in road construction, and the construction environment is relatively good. The fault phenomenon is also special. When walking on the ramp on the left (the slope is less than 15 °), there is no action when walking up, and the guide wheel is more obvious in front. The pressure value is normal through preliminary inspection.
2. Inspection process
First, check the traveling linear valve core and the anti balance valve core of the traveling motor, and exchange the left and right traveling main valve cores. The faults have not changed, and other actions are normal. It is basically determined that the reason is the traveling motor and the central joint. Because the disassembly and inspection of the center joint is complex and difficult, it is decided to check the traveling motor first.
Secondly, when detecting the pressure, it is found that the forward overflow pressure of the left travel motor is abnormal, and the fault still exists after exchanging the upper and lower overflow valves of the motor. The cause of the overflow valve of the travel motor is eliminated.
Then remove the left traveling motor and check that the pump liner and plunger are normal, and the valve plate and anti balance valve core are slightly worn, which is determined to be within the normal range.
In order to further determine the fault, the valve covers of the left and right traveling motors and the valve plate are exchanged. After switching, the left traveling motor is normal, and the right traveling motor has the same fault.
Finally, the maintenance personnel replaced the core valve cover and valve plate, and the fault was solved.
