1. Gear oil leakage of traveling motor
1) Gear oil leakage of traveling motor is caused by excessive traveling time and damage of floating oil seal.
2) If the construction environment is poor and the traveling reducer is exposed, it is inevitable that waste iron wire and other sundries on the construction site will be involved in the floating oil seal, and the gear oil will leak after the oil seal is damaged.
3) The clearance between the reducer bearing and the shaft hole is too large.
2. The swing motor leaks gear oil
1) If the auxiliary factory skeleton oil seal is used, it is easy to be damaged.
2) Serious bearing wear causes internal oscillation of the rotary motor, and radial pressure will be generated during the rotation of the oil seal and shaft. Excessive pressure will cause damage to the oil seal.
3) The inner shaft runs unsteadily due to insufficient coaxiality.
4) Bearing oil shortage or poor oil quality, as well as foreign matter intrusion will cause oil seal wear.
5) During maintenance and assembly, the framework oil seal was damaged due to improper installation.
3. Hazards of lack of gear oil
If there is a lack of gear oil, the dry grinding between bearings and gears and between gears in the reducer will be damaged due to lack of lubrication. Seriously, the whole reducer will be scrapped.
4. How to check whether the gear oil is missing
There is an oil scale on the rotating motor, which can be pulled out to observe the gear oil level. If the gear oil is between the two observation holes at the bottom of the scale, it indicates that the oil level is normal. When the oil level is lower than the bottom hole, it indicates that the gear oil is not enough and needs to be added.
Since there is no oil gauge on the traveling motor reducer to check the gear oil level, it is necessary to often observe whether there is oil leakage after replacing the gear oil. If there is any fault, it is necessary to solve the fault in time and supplement the gear oil.
5. Replacement time of gear oil
The gear oil of excavator traveling and rotating motor shall be changed every 2000 hours.
