The excavator suddenly has high fuel consumption, accompanied by engine jitter and unstable idle speed. In serious cases, it will also have a series of faults, such as difficult starting, reduced engine power, increased carbon deposition in the cylinder and so on. In fact, these faults are caused by the wear of the engine fuel injector. The operation of the fuel injector plays a great role in the power of the engine.
The excavator engine injector is a device for injecting high pressure fuel into the combustion chamber of an engine piston. According to the requirements of different engines, the diesel transported by the high-pressure oil pump is injected into the combustion chamber at a specific injection pressure, atomization degree, fuel injection law, range and spray angle, and blended with the air.
Causes of fuel injector damage:
1. Poor diesel quality
The construction environment of excavators is relatively poor, and many choose to add irregular diesel. However, this kind of diesel fuel has high water content and uses poor quality fuel for a long time, which will produce a large amount of carbon deposit after combustion. After high-temperature combustion, it will accumulate on the fuel injector for a long time, resulting in poor atomization.
2. Do not use original parts
The maintenance parts are not produced by regular manufacturers, or the original parts are not used, but the auxiliary filter element without reliability and quality assurance is used. Although the filter element is much cheaper, it basically has no filtering effect, which will lead to the diesel oil not well filtered, and finally lead to the wear of the fuel injector.
3. The needle valve of the fuel injector is stuck and leaking
As the gap between the needle valve and the valve seat is blocked by residual viscose, the needle valve cannot be opened normally, which affects the normal fuel injection volume and causes the needle valve of the injector to be stuck.
