Working principle of hydraulic excavator

1. Energy conversion pathway

Hydraulic excavators generally use the diesel engine as the power source to convert the chemical energy of diesel into mechanical energy. Then the mechanical energy is converted into hydraulic energy by the plunger pump of the hydraulic system, and the hydraulic energy is distributed to each actuator. Finally, the hydraulic energy is transformed into mechanical energy by each actuator to realize the actions of working device, rotary platform and whole machine walking.

2. Power transmission route

The power transmission route of hydraulic excavator is generally: Diesel Engine – coupling – hydraulic pump – multi-way valve – central swivel – travel motor / swing motor / boom cylinder / stick cylinder / bucket cylinder. Various actions are completed through the above power transmission route. The specific power transmission route is as follows:

Travel action: Diesel Engine – coupling – hydraulic pump – distribution valve – central swivel – travel motor – reducer – idler – track chain.

Slewing action: Diesel Engine – coupling – hydraulic pump – distribution valve – slewing motor – reducer – slewing ring.

Boom action: Diesel Engine – coupling – hydraulic pump – distribution valve – boom cylinder.

Stick action: Diesel Engine – coupling – hydraulic pump – distribution valve – stick cylinder.

Bucket action: Diesel Engine – coupling – hydraulic pump – distribution valve – bucket cylinder.
