The so-called automatic cruise means that the driver can realize the automatic driving function of the excavator without operating the walking pedal under certain circumstances. This function comes from the constant speed cruise control of the automobile system. The difference between wheel excavator and vehicle control is that the walking of wheel excavator is a full hydraulic transmission system, so it is necessary to reform the hydraulic circuit and add corresponding control points to facilitate the control system to realize this function.
The electrical principle of cruise control is based on the hydraulic control, considering the operation and safety factors, the controller completes the on and off control of cruise solenoid valve. From the perspective of machine operation, it is mainly how to control the engine speed when the walking pedal is not operated. In terms of safety, there are mainly the following two elements: 1.When the cruise function is activated. 2. When the cruise function is turned off.
The wheel excavator is equipped with two throttle controls. In normal digging operation, the engine speed is controlled by the throttle knob, while when the machine is walking, the engine speed is controlled by the position sensor of the walking pedal. When the automatic cruise is realized, the accelerator knob takes over the function of the travel pedal position sensor to complete the control of the engine speed.
From the point of view of driving safety, the activation of automatic cruise must be triggered by the operator consciously, and the misoperation and possible dangerous situation must be avoided. Therefore, the cruise trigger button should be set, and ensure that the machine is in the forward gear state. Once the gear is switched, the driver intentionally stops walking or stops cruising, the automatic cruise function should be stopped immediately to switch the machine to the normal walking operation mode.
