Energy loss of hydraulic pump under three working conditions

There are three kinds of energy loss in the working process of excavator

1. Energy loss when the control valve is in the middle position

When the working device stops operation and each control valve is in the middle position, the hydraulic pump only needs to supply a small amount of hydraulic oil to flush the lubrication system, so that the hydraulic pump is on standby for loading. Once the system requires work, it can respond quickly. In the middle position, the supply pressure of the hydraulic pump only needs to overcome the pipe resistance and the back pressure set to prevent cavitation. The system pressure is not high, but the variable displacement pump has a large flow due to constant power control, so it has a large energy loss.

2. Energy loss during micro operation

Hydraulic excavator needs fine operation and micro motion control. Generally, throttle speed regulation is adopted by controlling the opening of control valve to reduce the energy loss caused by oil overflow and return.

3. Overload overflow energy loss (high pressure cut off)

If the hard rock can not be dug when digging, in order to prevent overload damage to the machinery, the hydraulic safety valve is opened, and the pressure oil overflows back to the oil tank through the safety valve, resulting in energy loss.

The above energy loss in use is mainly the flow loss. Therefore, in order to reduce the above energy loss, the energy-saving control is actually on-demand flow control, so that the pump flow can be output according to the actual needs to avoid unnecessary flow loss.
