How to prevent spontaneous combustion of excavators

In hot weather, some excavators may have spontaneous combustion accidents. It is understood that the main power switch was not turned off after the shutdown, and the fire was caused by hot weather and short circuit of wires. There are many reasons that can cause the excavator to catch fire, and the probability of occurrence is also different. Seen from many spontaneous combustion accidents of excavators, the ignition point is mostly in the fuel tank or engine. The proportion of spontaneous combustion accidents caused by oil pipe leakage, engine high temperature and electrical circuit short circuit is relatively large. In addition, improper maintenance, dirty engine, long construction time and other factors can also lead to spontaneous combustion of the excavator. This article will explain how to prevent the excavator from spontaneous combustion in hot weather. For reference only.

1. Frequently check the fuel and lubrication system for oil leakage. If there is any leakage, immediately find the leaking part. Wipe up the leaked fuel or lubricating oil after troubleshooting.

2. Check the circuit for damage, short circuit and looseness. Problems found shall be repaired in time.

3. Check and confirm that the fuse used meets the requirements. If the fusing current of the fuse used does not meet the requirements, it shall be replaced immediately. If the fuse is open or short circuited, find out the cause first and remove the fault before replacing the fuse.

4. When filling the fuel tank, prevent the fuel leaked from the fuel filler from splashing onto the exhaust manifold, turbocharger and other high-temperature parts.

5. The engine oil inlet pipe shall be 150 mm away from the exhaust manifold, turbocharger and other high-temperature parts. To ensure that the fuel inlet hose and fuel tank do not contact these high-temperature parts.

6. Check the engine compartment frequently. If there are dead leaves, paper pieces and other sundries, they should be removed in time.

7. Do not check the engine oil level on the dipstick while the engine is running. To prevent the operator from being burned.

8. Avoid spillage when filling the fuel tank. Make sure there is no fire source and no smoking nearby.

9. Turn off the main power switch after stop the machine.
