Main components of braking system

1. Brake

The brake is an executive component installed on the drive axle for service braking. The brake of wet axle is built in the axle housing, which uses the lubricating oil inside the axle to lubricate and dissipate heat. The brake of dry axle is exposed to air to dissipate heat. Relatively speaking, the brake of wet bridge is not easy to be affected by external conditions, the brake is stable, safe and reliable.

2. Two way brake valve

The brake valve is the control element that controls the brake fluid to the brake, and it is also the control element operated directly by the operator. Its performance and operation feeling play a key role in the overall performance of the brake system.

The integrated brake valve is relatively easy to arrange, with few pipeline connection points and high system efficiency, but the maintenance cost of components is relatively high. The split brake valve is separated from the charging valve, the pipeline connection points are many, the risk of oil leakage is relatively high, the pipeline loss is slightly large, but the maintenance cost has advantages.

Secondly, according to the actual application conditions and operation requirements of the wheel excavator, the brake valve should have its own locking mechanism, that is, when the brake valve is pressed to the bottom, the locking mechanism can automatically lock the pedal, and when unlocking, the pedal can be released by pressing the release plate of the locking mechanism.

3. Accumulator

Accumulator is an energy storage device in brake hydraulic system, which can store hydraulic energy, maintain pressure and absorb pulse. Diaphragm inflatable accumulator is commonly used in wheel excavators. Each brake circuit is connected with one accumulator. The accumulator is characterized by fast response, small volume and light weight.

The requirements for the installation and use of the accumulator: do not work under the maximum allowable pressure of the accumulator, the nitrogen filling pressure shall not exceed the minimum working pressure of the hydraulic system, the charging valve shall be installed upward, the accumulator shall be installed away from the heat source, and shall be provided with shock absorption and anti-collision protection, fixed firmly, and the inspection and maintenance space shall be reserved around it.
