The function of the rotary device is that the excavator can rotate left and right during operation. The slewing ring is an important part of the slewing device, which is mainly used to support the upper body mass and bear the working load. Because the slewing ring of excavator generally operates under heavy load and the working environment is relatively harsh, the slewing ring is prone to failure. During the normal operation of the excavator, the upper frame will shake up and down. However, ignoring this situation will cause the slewing ring to break and fail to work, or even cause major accidents. This article will explain the detection method of digging slewing ring. 1. Test steps
1) Park the excavator on the level ground and drop the front end working device to the ground.
2) Before the measurement, it must be ensured that there is no person or shelter around the excavator to ensure safety.
3) Fix the dial gauge holder on the lower frame so that the measuring point of the dial gauge is 20mm away from the rotary seat ring.
4) Fully extend the stick and retract the bucket, and set the dial indicator to the zero position.
5) Lower the bucket to the ground and prop up the track to 15-30 cm above the ground. Observe the dial indicator reading and record it three times.
Note that the measured value will change due to the different fixed positions of the magnetic base of the dial indicator. Therefore, more measurements are required. At the same time, it is normal that the clearance of slewing ring bearing is 0.5-3 mm. If it exceeds 3mm, consider repairing or replacing the slewing ring.
2. Fault causes
Generally, there are two reasons for the failure of slewing ring. The first is normal wear, and the second is improper maintenance. For example, the slewing ring is not often greased. Or add too much lubricating grease to the slewing ring to extrude the sealing ring, but do not install it back to the correct position. This will accelerate wear and lead to greater failure. The slewing ring, as the central shaft of the excavator, generally does not have serious failures. The main reason for the failure is, on the one hand, to neglect the observation and detection of slewing ring. On the other hand, do not pay attention to the maintenance of slewing ring.
