Reasons for water spraying of excavator engine water tank
If the machine is operated under high temperature for a long time, it may malfunction due to overheating of the engine. Sometimes, the water tank suddenly sprays water. Water tank spray is not uncommon. However, not only will the engine be damaged to varying degrees, but the excavator needs to be stopped for maintenance. It will also cause scalding of surrounding construction personnel. Some people will ask what causes this failure. Most cases are caused by improper daily maintenance. This article will analyze this fault for reference only.
First, confirm whether the water tank of the excavator has been filled with water. Whether tap water has been added. Secondly, confirm whether inferior antifreeze has been used. Third, whether there is high temperature before the excavator. Whether to stop the machine and immediately add water or antifreeze after high temperature water shortage. If all the above conditions have been done, it is very likely that this fault will occur.
Antifreeze is to make the engine work at a relatively stable temperature. Its thermal conductivity is stable and balanced inside the engine. On the contrary, tap water and low-quality antifreeze can not achieve this effect. In addition, it is totally wrong to immediately add cold antifreeze or water in case of water shortage after shutdown. The main reason for this failure is that the gas enters the water circuit or the water circuit is blocked. Then the causes of this fault are as follows.
1. The cylinder block and cylinder head are cracked.
2. EGR cooler is damaged.
3. The copper sleeve of fuel injector is damaged.
4. The water tank is blocked.
5. Turbocharger with water cooling function is damaged.
6. The cylinder head and cylinder block are deformed and the cylinder gasket is damaged.
