Each excavator needs standard operation, so as to ensure the safety in the construction process. This article will summarize the key points of standard operation of some excavators for reference only.
1. The excavator shall be inspected before construction. Confirm that everything is complete and intact, there are no obstacles and other personnel within the moving range of big hip and bucket, and the operation can be carried out only after whistle warning. Protective covers shall be installed in the cab and external transmission parts of the excavator.
2. When shoveling, the working surface shall not exceed the maximum excavation height and depth specified by the performance of the machine. During dragline or backhoe operation, the distance between the excavator track or tire and the edge of the operation shall not be less than 1.5m.
3. When the excavator operates on the flat ground, the brake track (or tire) shall be applied to brake and wedge firmly. There shall be no obstacles for soil borrowing and unloading, and no one shall stay within the turning radius of the bucket during excavation.
4. The loading operation shall be carried out after the transport excavator stops stably. The bucket shall be placed as low as possible and shall not hit the excavator. It is strictly prohibited to have people in the carriage and the bucket is strictly prohibited to pass over the top of the excavator cab. During unloading, the bucket shall be lowered as low as possible, but shall not hit any part of the excavator.
5. The excavator is suitable for digging in clay, gravel soil, peat rock and other soil. It is forbidden to use any part of the excavator to break stones, frozen soil, etc.
6. When walking, the arm should be parallel to the crawler and brake the slewing mechanism. The bucket should be 1m from the ground. The walking slope shall not exceed the maximum allowable slope of the machine. When going downhill, drive slowly and slide in neutral gear is strictly prohibited. The turning shall not be too rapid. When passing through soft ground, it shall be padded and reinforced first.
