Road construction is one of the most common operations of excavators. However, to repair the road well, we need to have a solid foundation, skills and keen observation. In particular, there are various working environments. Only by mastering more skills can we deal with various complex working environments. If an excavator builds a road with a slope, once the slope of the road is too large, it is easy for vehicles to get on. But if the slope of the road is too small, the length of the road needs to be very long. This article will summarize the skills of excavator road construction for reference only.
1.Observe the distance between the top and bottom of the slope
Before starting the slope repair operation, it is necessary to observe the span and distance between the upper and lower ends of the slope to be repaired, and then determine the size of the slope to be repaired. The length of slope shall be determined with reference to the actual situation and environment of the site.
2. The prototype of using excavator to repair the outlet
After determining the slope, you can dig with an excavator. Pay attention to fold down from the upper end of the slope in layers. The earthwork at the upper end of the slope can be folded to the lower part, and the pavement below can be raised to reduce the slope of the whole road. When it is folded from the upper end to half of the slope, use the bucket to spread the soil folded to the lower part, so that the general outline of the whole pavement has been basically formed.
3. Carry out slope leveling
When the slope is roughly formed, the pavement of the ramp needs to be leveled. Starting from the upper end of the slope, the convex part shall be flattened with a bucket and the concave part shall be filled. If only a small amount of loose earth and rock on the ground needs to be treated and leveled, the earth and rock can be removed by rotating the excavator. However, it should be noted that the force of rotation is relatively small. It may be useless when encountering hard soil or too much soil. At this time, multiple compound actions are required to remove the soil layer in combination with the operation. When the rotary force is insufficient and the bucket cannot move, the jib can be retracted back and forth and the bucket can be opened and closed slightly to reduce the resistance of the bucket, so as to remove the hard soil. When the road surface is relatively flat, use the crawler of the excavator to walk back and forth on the road surface, and compact the road surface through the crawler, so as to complete the work.
