1. Pay attention to the thermal insulation of the machine
In cold climate, the equipment is easy to be over cooled when working. How to keep warm is very important. Too low temperature will easily cause engine damage and reduce service life. After construction, cover the excavator engine with thermal insulation curtain or insulation sleeve and other cold proof items. If necessary, block the cold wind with cardboard in front of the radiator. The excavator shall be parked in the garage as far as possible. If the engine is a diesel engine, the thermostat plays an important role in the temperature rise of the diesel engine during operation. Therefore, before winter, check whether the thermostat works normally, and replace the failed thermostat in time.
2. Preparations shall be made before work
When starting the diesel engine before work, do not work immediately. The excavator needs to be preheated and prepared. If it works immediately, it is likely to cause serious wear and tear of the machine. It is best to let the excavator idle for a few minutes at low and medium speed, and then increase the rotation rate of the engine. Operate the bucket and keep the bucket cylinder and bucket working for a period of time until the temperature of cooling water reaches more than 60 ℃.
3. Pay attention to driving safety during winter operation
In winter, there is frequent snowfall and ice may be covered under the snow. When working in such a site, it is very easy to sideslip and cause danger. Therefore, the excavator shall be operated at a constant speed and slowly in winter to avoid sliding on the slope, make full use of the traction effect of the engine and the working device of the front car, and keep away from the surrounding objects as far as possible when driving, so as to avoid bumping into the surrounding objects caused by the pulley.
