1. Select appropriate oil
The power oil commonly used by excavators is divided into diesel and engine oil.
In the case of using diesel, light diesel should be selected. Because in cold environment, the density and viscosity of diesel fuel will increase and its fluidity will decrease. This will lead to incomplete combustion of diesel in the process of use, and the fuel consumption will increase, which will not only increase the consumption cost, but also affect the power of diesel engine. Light diesel has the characteristics of low pour point and good ignition performance, which can well avoid the above problems.
In the case of using engine oil, the viscosity and friction of engine oil are strengthened due to the influence of temperature, while the fluidity is weakened, which often leads to the difficulty of starting the diesel engine. Therefore, when selecting engine oil, it is necessary to select engine oil with higher grade. In warmer areas, the oil is changed according to the local temperature.
2. Drain the cooling water at an appropriate time
In the extremely cold environment, if the excavator does not preheat and releases or does not release cooling water too early, the body will suddenly be invaded by cold air at high temperature, resulting in sudden contraction, resulting in body tension crack or sudden contraction and crack, especially small excavators are more likely to cause part fracture. When discharging water, the residual water in the body shall be completely discharged to avoid freezing and expansion and cracking of the body.
