1. Directly operate the excavator without preheating
In winter, many people operate the excavator immediately after the engine is started. This should be strictly prohibited. Excavator preheating mainly includes engine preheating and hydraulic oil preheating. After the engine is started, it should run at low speed for no more than 5 minutes. Then turn the fuel control knob to the center between low speed and high speed. Run the engine at medium speed for about 5 minutes under no-load condition.
2. Bake the oil pan with an open flame
When operating the excavator in winter, it is quite dangerous to bake the oil pan with an open flame. In this way, the engine oil in the oil pan is easily deteriorated and burnt. The lubricating property of the engine oil decreases and the machine is severely worn. When it is serious, the excavator will completely fail.
3. Select inappropriate diesel and engine oil
Improper selection of diesel, engine oil and hydraulic oil for excavators in winter will affect the service life of excavators. Light diesel with low freezing point and good performance should be selected in winter. The engine oil should also be of low freezing point. And the oil filter also needs to be replaced. Replace the hydraulic oil that can adapt to the local minimum temperature in winter.
