After long-term storage in cold winter, various oil, lubrication protection and some materials of the excavator may have changed. If the machine is operated without detailed inspection, poor operation may occur. In order to reduce equipment failures and ensure the best performance of the machine in spring, the excavator shall be inspected and maintained in detail before starting and after operation. This article will summarize what should be checked after the excavator is in operation for reference only.
1. When the ambient temperature is lower than 3 ℃, turn on the preheating switch before starting the excavator to preheat the intake air.
2. If it is a turbocharged model, remove the turbocharger oil inlet pipe and add proper amount of oil to ensure the lubrication of the turbine shaft.
3. Start the machine, let the engine run at idle speed for 5-10 minutes, and then operate each cylinder without load. Make the hydraulic oil temperature reach 40 ℃, circulate all hydraulic functions several times, and then operate.
4. If the machine is not used for a long time, the thin oil layer on the sliding surface may be damaged. It is necessary to perform the hydraulic function of circulating travel and rotary excavation for 2 to 3 times. This procedure is used to lubricate the sliding surfaces.
5. If there is soil on the chassis in freezing weather, the upper frame shall be turned to 90 degrees before walking to support the track. Spin back and forth for several times, and shake off the dirt and impurities around the carrier roller, roller and idler. For equipment constructed on muddy land, it is recommended that the operator should clean up the soil near the carrier roller and idler wheel with a spade every day to prevent freezing the next day.
