1. Equipment startup in winter
In order to be faster and simpler, many operators use the wrong method to start the excavator. Such as starting the engine without preheating. This is easy to increase the possibility of excavator failure, so it is necessary to master the correct preheating method. Preheating mainly includes engine preheating and hydraulic oil preheating. After the engine is started, it should run at low speed for no more than 5 minutes, then turn the fuel control knob to the center between low speed and high speed, and run the engine at medium speed for about 5 minutes under no-load condition. After the engine runs smoothly, check whether all instruments and indicators are normal.
2. Maintenance of battery
If the outdoor temperature is too low in winter, the storage capacity of the battery will be weakened. Pay attention to the battery voltage value, otherwise the battery will run out of power the next day. First observe whether there is electrolyte leakage on the surface of the battery shell. Secondly, check whether the battery is firmly installed and whether the wire connector and pole are firmly connected. Finally, regularly check the discharge degree of the battery, and charge it immediately if it exceeds the specified value.
3. Fuel oil drainage
Excavators shall be drained and maintained in time in winter. In winter, the temperature difference between day and night is large, and No. 0 diesel will wax. In order not to affect the working time, it is necessary to replace it with low temperature resistant fuel such as – 10, – 20. In order to facilitate the start-up the next day, stand for about half an hour after shutdown, and timely discharge the impurities and water at the bottom of the fuel tank to avoid freezing and wax deposition.
