During the working process of the excavator, if it is found that the lever operation requires a lot of force before the excavator can act, there may be a fault. This article will summarize the heavy lever operation fault, trembling fault and the detection and maintenance of the pilot lever for reference only.
1. Lever operation is too heavy
The operating lever of excavator is composed of two parts. The upper part is the operating lever and the lower part is the operating pilot valve. Due to different brands of levers, some operators feel very uncomfortable when they first operate. They feel that the lever is heavy and think it is a fault. In fact, it is not a problem with the excavator, but an illusion in personal use habits.
When using an unfamiliar excavator, you can first adjust the length of the lever, and then do not start the test feeling to observe the use effect. If there is an obvious heavy phenomenon, it is necessary to check whether it is caused by excessive pressure of the pilot valve or whether the filter screen of the pilot oil circuit is unobstructed.
2. Lever trembling fault
If the lever trembles, first measure the pressure of the pilot valve and observe whether the pointer of the Hydraulic Gauge swings back and forth. If this phenomenon occurs, disassemble and check the pilot pump. In most cases, the pilot pressure is unstable due to serious gear wear or tooth loss.
3. Pilot lever detection
A pressure gauge needs to be connected externally, along the hydraulic pipe of the pilot lever to the main valve cover, and then connect the pressure gauge. Compared with the pilot pump pressure, the "secondary pressure" of the pilot lever will be slightly lower.
4. Maintenance of pilot lever
The maintenance of the pilot lever is relatively simple. The pilot filter element should preferably be replaced every 500 hours of operation. The pilot plunger head needs grease lubrication to ensure that it can be used without dry grinding.
