The summer is hot and hot. In order to ensure the safe operation of the machine and avoid the machine failure and shutdown caused by high temperature. This article will explain the points that should be paid attention to when the fan belt and parts of the excavator are blocked in summer, for reference only.
1. Engine fan belt tension inspection
Check every 250 hours. When checking the belt tension, the engine must be stopped to prevent the rotating parts from causing injury to personnel. Press the middle point of the fan belt with your fingers and use about 6kg force. Under the correct belt tension, it should be possible to press the belt down. The pressing range is 6mm-15mm. If it exceeds 15mm, the belt tension should be adjusted or a new belt should be replaced.
2. Check whether the water tank, hydraulic oil radiator and air conditioning condenser are blocked
After the excavators in autumn, winter and spring, it is easy to accumulate some dead branches and rotten leaves or absorb catkin fluff in some places. These things will affect the cooling effect of water tank, hydraulic oil radiator and air conditioner condenser. It is easy to cause high temperature of engine, high temperature deterioration of hydraulic oil and poor refrigeration of air conditioner. In addition, the cover plates and sponges at the water tanks and radiators of some machines are damaged or fall off, resulting in abnormal fan suction. Resulting in poor heat dissipation of water tank, hydraulic oil radiator and air conditioning condenser. To ensure the normal use of the excavator, always pay attention to the engine water temperature. In case of high temperature, measures must be taken, including selecting the nearest shady place for parking and cooling at idle speed. Be careful not to shut down the engine immediately to prevent accidents caused by overheating inside the engine. After the temperature drops, in addition to checking whether the antifreeze solution is missing, check the tension of the fan belt.
